Branching to new sections

I have finally got my site listed in the Online Cardrooms section of the directory and was wondering how and if I should try to become listed in other sections as well. I appologize for not knowing exactly how the system works and was looking for some feedback. Thank you!

Most sites are only acceptable to one category. If you have a physical Regional location, that would be ok as a second category. If your site was in languages other than English, that would justify additional listings.

 

Editors may, under certain conditions, decide to make additional listings themselves (ie. we are not talking about them approving outside suggestions).

 

Other than that, additional submissions that you make (of this or related URLs) would be considered spam. I would suggest you stop doing that immediately.

The way the system works, you suggest the site (ONCE[*]) to the editors. The editors decide where and how often it should be listed.

 

[*]There are some standard exceptions to the suggest once guideline: i.e., if the site has versions in multiple languages, the editors in those languages won't mind having it suggested to their categories.

Is a second submission allowed if, after the first suggestion, the site is so updated that it no longer belongs to the original category?

Yes, that's only helpful. Even more helpful if you append a note at the end of the description: [Originally submitted to Sports/Waterfowl_Wrestling/Geese but it has changed since then and now fits better in Sports/Waterfowl_Wrestling/Mixed_Birds] -- but that's not a requirement

That case would not be a second suggestion of the SITE, but a suggestion to update the LISTING (that is, change it to another category, not add it also to other categories).

 

The result of such a suggested change might BE an added listing instead of a moved listing -- but THAT would be up to the editors' judgment, and based on the editors' guidelines.
