Guest outlaw Posted May 8, 2003 Posted May 8, 2003 Hi! I submitted this site: http://www.amajewellery.com ... to this category: www.dmoz.org/Shopping/Niche/Hip-Hop Could someone please let me know the status of it???? Thank you so much!!!!
donaldb Posted May 9, 2003 Posted May 9, 2003 You didn't need to create a whole new userid on here just to ask about another one of your sites. You could just have used your addecorp or born2drv userid.
Guest Posted May 9, 2003 Posted May 9, 2003 Seems to me to be a jewelry site and not a hip-hop site first. Don't be surprised if the site gets moved around.
Guest jansass_com Posted May 9, 2003 Posted May 9, 2003 It's so confusing having all these sites to follow up with, they don't usually get in by < 30 days, so you have to bump the thread every 30 days as per the instructions. If you bump it before, you get bumped in the head by a moderator I've even created a little spreadsheet with the last date I submitted what site, what category, what the follow up thread URL is, etc... I will just use one user id from now on... but the only reason I didn't for this site in particular is because it's not mine, I only made it as a favor for a fellow jeweller. I *do not* own that company. You can verify this with 411 info, etc. Anyhow. Thanks for the advice
Guest jansass_com Posted May 9, 2003 Posted May 9, 2003 I only sumbitted to this category based on the fact that another "rap/hip hop jewelry site" was placed in there. Like a judge, I go by precidents ... but if you feel it is better suited to be somewhere else, by all means please move it and add it to appropriate category. I would like nothing more to be included in DMOZ and not to have to bother you fine folks anymore Take care, Yosef
motsa Posted May 9, 2003 Posted May 9, 2003 ...they don't usually get in by < 30 days, so you have to bump the thread every 30 days as per the instructions.Actually, we say a month. That isn't necessarily 30 days (could be 28, could be 31).
Guest Posted May 9, 2003 Posted May 9, 2003 (I think that we can/should be flexible enough to allow 28 days = 4 weeks = 1 month, so feel free to ask about that often.)
Guest jansass_com Posted May 26, 2003 Posted May 26, 2003 Just wanted to get a checkup on this site please since I've waited > 28 days Once again, it is not my site, please don't accuse me of anything Thank you.
Guest jansass_com Posted May 26, 2003 Posted May 26, 2003 woops, it's not 28 days yet, please ignore It's been >28 days since the submission date (4/24/2003)... my bad.
dfy Posted May 26, 2003 Posted May 26, 2003 The 28 days, or one month, starts from the date of your last status check, not your submission. Since your last check was on 8th May, we would ask you to wait until at least 8th June. Don't sit there counting the days though, it's not very likely that you'll be listed in a month as you have submitted to one of the more backlogged areas. There's nothing you can do to hurry your review along, so just sit back, relax, and take comfort from knowing that your site is definitely in the queue, and will be reviewed one day.
