badaei Posted March 4, 2006 Posted March 4, 2006 Hello, nearly 2 years ago I submitted my website. After waiting 6 months from that date, I assumed my submission was rejected so I submitted again. Alas, a year from the first submission I still had nothing. I am completely confused. I am sure you guys know best how to best run things; but there are indeed some problems. My question is, why not automate? A person opens an account, then opens a request--the request is either accepted or rejected and there can be real-time status on what is going on. A chain of comments etc. A history of who is "on the case" etc.
Meta shadow575 Posted March 4, 2006 Meta Posted March 4, 2006 This can be found in the forum FAQ. Specifically the Well, if you won't do status checks here anymore, why don't you provide an automatic status reporting system for URL listing suggestions? part. Shadow *The opinions I offer are my own and may not represent the opinions of Curlie.org or other editors.* It can take anywhere from two hours to several years for a site review to take place. I do not respond to private messages requesting site status checks. _______________________________________________ https://shadow575.wordpress.com/
Meta hutcheson Posted March 4, 2006 Meta Posted March 4, 2006 The process isn't "broken" -- it just isn't what you think it is. It does what it was intended to do, and does it very efficiently.
Meta pvgool Posted March 4, 2006 Meta Posted March 4, 2006 Hello, nearly 2 years ago I submitted my website. After waiting 6 months from that date, I assumed my submission was rejected so I submitted again. May I ask why. Why did you think your site was rejected? A site is only rejected when it violates DMOZ guidelines. And if it does it should never has been suggested. Why suggest it again? This is only usefull if the site has undergone major changes like adding large amount of unique content. In all other cases it will most probably be rejected again. Do this enough times and you will be seen as a spammer. I will not answer PM or emails send to me. If you have anything to ask please use the forum.
