Feedback when posts deleted in r-z

Sometimes posts are deleted in r-z. Well, I assume that is what has happened: I reply to a thread, my post appears there, and later is gone. There are many possible reasons for this: the post is inappropriate (I hope rare in my case); someone else soon followed with a better post; the meta hates me (who can tell!); or some other conspiracy (but am I paranoid enough?).

 

So please could the meta's delete-this-useless-post button acquire, somewhere, somehow, a -and-PM-the-submitter option. Not knowing how the meta's controls work, I can't make a more specific suggestion. But it would be helpful to be told where and why my post went.
