wendykotsakis Posted May 12, 2003 Posted May 12, 2003 Would someone please check my submission status. I don't believe there is an editor in the category I submitted to. It's been months. Thanks for your help.
apeuro Posted May 12, 2003 Posted May 12, 2003 In order for us to help you, you need to post a clickable link to the category you submitted to. Thanks.
wendykotsakis Posted May 12, 2003 Author Posted May 12, 2003 Sorry about that: the url is Coos-bay.net submission category I had previously submitted my site to another category but this past month I have revamped my site. Thanks again
sabre23t Posted May 12, 2003 Posted May 12, 2003 Your site is waiting in the unreviewed list of that Regional//Coos_Bay/TT category. A short list. Unfortunately, it was unreachable early Mar 2003. It is still unreachable now, from my side of the world. It's likely to be deleted by the local editor if it stays unreachable the next time it's checked. <img src="/images/icons/frown.gif" alt="" /> <add>Double checked. Yep, unreachable from my Malaysian ISP. Though, site seems to be reachable from http://www.samspade.org/ . Weird.</add>
apeuro Posted May 12, 2003 Posted May 12, 2003 That's funny cause the site works for me. Google hasn't had any problems caching the site either.
wendykotsakis Posted May 12, 2003 Author Posted May 12, 2003 I don't understand what you mean when you say the site is unreachable from a certain ISP. The site was recently unparked on 8 Apr 03 - perhaps that's was part of the problem. I do appreciate your help and hope one of you can reach my isp and get the site listed. Many thanks. I guess this shows my ignorance on how ODP works. I assumed the editor would just go to the site. It's crawlable by all the bots and I've never had anyone tell me they could not reach the site. <img src="/images/icons/confused.gif" alt="" />
motsa Posted May 13, 2003 Posted May 13, 2003 I have no problem accessing it either so I doubt that it's a widespread problem. Maybe the Singapore ISP that sabre23t uses hasn't updated their DNS servers recently.
wendykotsakis Posted May 13, 2003 Author Posted May 13, 2003 Thanks everyone - I do appreciate your help. Gee, ODP editors are not as bad as I heard J/K <img src="/images/icons/wink.gif" alt="" />
