meowmeow Posted May 11, 2006 Posted May 11, 2006 i have my portfolio site that i am trying to list. i submitted my site 4 months ago, but didn't get listed. i updated stuff on my site; lot more content, etc... i resubmitted, but still nothing. i know my site has not been reviewed because i check my refer-logs and i know i havent had any visits from dmoz. (and i know from past experience with other sites that dmoz.org does show up)... the category is not very big, and i would say my site is on par with a lot of the ones already listed. i know that hardly any site has been listed over the last year.... and i dont know what to do.... should i try to contact the editor and see if i have blacklisted, or there's still not enough contect, etc...?
meowmeow Posted May 11, 2006 Author Posted May 11, 2006 also... I used to be listed in the same category - a few years ago - but i had to take my site off, so I was removed...
Meta windharp Posted May 11, 2006 Meta Posted May 11, 2006 Welcome to Resource Zone meowmeow! First of all: We don't blacklist sites by random, for the webmaster the reason is usually very clear. Anyway, assume a site was blacklisted - would it be clever to tell the webmaster about it? No, it surely wouldn't. So the answer to your last question is: No, please don't. If everybody whose site is not listed in the ODP emails an editor, our editors would not be able to do any editing because of all those mails. :-) Most of what you ask for is handled in the FAQ, so I suggest you check what is there and come back if you still have unanswered questions.
