We are looking at the same url, but not seeing the same page. I can see a functional site. I have checked in a different browser, going in direct and not via the ODP. Possibly the domain is blocking a range of IPs that includes yours.

There's nothing funny in its meta tags or code.

 

Maybe your ISP's DNS servers are messed up or you have a spyware infection. What IP do you get when you PING them?

I get the same IP you do but you can see what I see and what jeanmanco sees. Do you see what you see if you go directly to the IP address instead of the FQDN?

Hmmm, their terms of use says "SPYWARE SCANNING

That would explain the parasite.js script reference (it's an IE spyware scanner).

Trust me. I do not have spyware in my computer. I do not use Internet Explorer, at all. Only when testing websites.

Yes the screenshot motsa gave is what I saw. I did wonder whether cloaking was going on, with the functional page being served up to ODP editors. That's why I tested with another browser and not routing in via the ODP at all.

Check the Google index. It's not in it. Check the cache in Yahoo and MSN. It doesn't have any.

Actually, my last post was not saying that you have spyware but that perhaps there's something about your and your friends' computer setups that doesn't work well with ilectric's spyware scanning thingy or causes them to serve you a markedly different page from the rest of us.

 

That's why I tested with another browser and not routing in via the ODP at all.

Nope, just a 'noarchive' tag. Don't know what to tell you. If you figure it out, let us know. In the meantime, the site is listable according to what we all see.

It took me a bit to find it too. An example http://ilectric.com/glance/Regional/ , it just isn't on the "Top" page of the directory anywhere that I can see.

Ha, looked at the site again after seeing lmocr simultaneous post with mine yesterday. On the "top" page of the directory: http://ilectric.com/glance/ which was working just fine a couple of seconds ago, just as it was for me yesterday. I noticed down in the lower left corner there was a hidden link something like http://ilectric.com/bad-bot ? Which for some reason I clicked and now all I get for that page is:

"ilectric is unavailable." followed by a bunch of affilliate links. I checked it on all my networked computers and they all see the same result.

 

So you aren't crazy expertu there is something weird there, unfortunately someone more technically minded than me will have to figure it out

Presumably, it's their way of stopping bad 'bots from scraping their copy of the directory. I'd guess it was based on IP address or something since Expertu could see the right stuff when he used a proxy. But that's just my uneducated guess.

 

I tried clicking the http://ilectric.com/bad-bot link and I can't make it think I'm bad -- I just get redirected to the main ilectric page. And if I try to click the link from your post, I get a 404 page.

- Guess I am a bad-bot then. Darn, always tried to be a good-bot I clicked that little ole link and now I get the affiliate pages that expertu talks about Guess when my IP resets I will have to try again.
