sandpetra Posted May 30, 2006 Posted May 30, 2006 Some time ago my client totally rebranded and so his domain changed. Can I change th old ODP listing to a new one and point it to the new URL?
Meta hutcheson Posted May 30, 2006 Meta Posted May 30, 2006 No, you can't. But you can suggest a change in the listing. The editor should check the old site, and if the move can be confirmed there, would make whatever changes seem appropriate. "update" requests usually get processed "fairly quickly" -- that is, days or weeks rather than the months and months that some initial site listing suggestions may wait. But, as always, making a suggestion doesn't actually impose deadlines on anyone, so we can't tell when the re-review might happen.
sandpetra Posted May 30, 2006 Author Posted May 30, 2006 Hello By what means would mI do this please?
Meta hutcheson Posted May 30, 2006 Meta Posted May 30, 2006 Sorry, it's the "update listing" link at the upper right corner of the category page at dmoz.org. You can suggest new URL, title, description, etc. It's like any other suggestion, though -- the final result is the editor's responsibility.
jimnoble Posted May 30, 2006 Posted May 30, 2006 Go to the category where the site is listed. Click on the update listing link towards the top right. Fill out the form.
