I have submitted a site to the Health: Addictions: Substance Abuse: Organizations a couple of times over the past year and haven't heard anything about it, nor is the site <url removed> showing up in the directory.

Since there appears to be no editor for that category, my question is this. Do the submissions just pile up in limbo forever or does another editor step in every so often to clear some of backload?

I hate to keep submitting if it's just going to sit there. What's the usual procedure here?

Thanks,

Richard

Submit Once. That is, Once to One category.

No category has "no editor".

Several hundred people can edit everywhere.

See the FAQ.

We hate it when you keep submitting also - please review How to suggest a site to the Open Directory - (you actually agreed to read it when you suggested your site) - in particular the paragraph Procedure After Your Site is Submitted

Thanks. Naturally, I know not to submit more than once, but as you know, the temptation is always there when your submission disappears to never be seen again.

And, when the submission falls into a black hole, the fact that there is no editor listed, makes for a bit of confusion.

One submission per category will be my motto from now on.

Thanks again.

:) please. please, just one suggestion per site

:) Though I am a volunteer editor, my opinions do not constitute an official Curlie statement. :)

:o I reserve the right to be human and make mistakes. :o

 Private messages asking for submission status or preferential treatment will be ignored.

Please don't. Suggest once per site. Suggesting to multiple categories wgets you dangerously close to the spammer's league. Just find the single best category and suggest a site once. And while we appreciate suggestions, remember that we aren't a free listing service.
