Yesterday I applied to become an editor for the following category:

Could you please give me an indication as to how long I can expect to wait before my application is processed and reviewed.

No we can't. It all depends upon when a volunteer meta editor who feels competent to evaluate your application volunteers to do so. That's completely unpredictable.
