jr1963 Posted July 24, 2006 Posted July 24, 2006 Hello, I applied on June 10th to: http://www.dmoz.org/Shopping/Home_and_Garden/Do-It-Yourself./ My member name is jr1963. My last application was declined however, the additional comments I received were rather nice and quite encouraging. This category has a very big pool of URLs awaiting review, making it too large for a trainee. If you try again, please select one of up to around 50 listings. Our editor guidelines should help you to write acceptable titles and descriptions. I am hopeful that my chosen category is appropriate to the kind suggestions listed above. Thanks for your time.
jr1963 Posted July 24, 2006 Author Posted July 24, 2006 Category Thanks for checking, Jim. In your experienced opinion, would you say that the category I applied for would be appropriate for a new editor?
jr1963 Posted August 7, 2006 Author Posted August 7, 2006 Hello again, I am wondering if my application has been processed or denied as of today. I have not received any email messages that I am aware of. I am also still wondering if the category I applied to edit is appropriate in size for a new trainee. Someone told me that it may not be and sense there is no way for applicants to see the pool of awaiting URL reviews, I am quite curious. Thanks for your time!
jimnoble Posted August 7, 2006 Posted August 7, 2006 It is still awaiting evaluation. The category is rather large for a beginner but attainable with an excellent application.
jr1963 Posted August 7, 2006 Author Posted August 7, 2006 Yikes! That is very scary! I will keep my fingers crossed. Thanks again
jimnoble Posted August 7, 2006 Posted August 7, 2006 You can uncross them now . (No, the enquiry didn't expedite the application.)
jr1963 Posted August 7, 2006 Author Posted August 7, 2006 Wow! I had to check my email to understand your last post. I was accepted for the one category I excel in...Shopping! Thanks for your time, Jim. I am sure I will be bothering again from the inside!
