horsetags Posted August 27, 2006 Posted August 27, 2006 Hi, I have submitted my (newly designed) site (not asking any time here), but due to technical reasons, i have had to rename the site and replace it back into the hosting where the old site was. Same products, same name (just nameofsite.co.uk instead of (the DMOZ submitted) name-of-site.com. Although hosted with the same company i have a 301 redirect in the .com address pointing to my new location. How can i update my information as my site is not (and i accept, may not be) listed? as your (understandable) guidlines about not accepting redirects will stop my site being listed. Thanks Paul
dogbows Posted August 27, 2006 Posted August 27, 2006 Not to worry, Paul. You have done all that is needed by placing the 301 redirect on the .com. When an editor looks at the site, they will catch it and change it to the correct URL.
horsetags Posted August 27, 2006 Author Posted August 27, 2006 Brilliant - Thanks. I was hoping a 301 wouldn't be penalised, but it's nice to be sure.
