Meta hutcheson Posted September 6, 2006 Meta Posted September 6, 2006 Thanks for the suggestion: however, the editors are responsible for making their own determinations on such matters.
ukstudy Posted September 16, 2006 Author Posted September 16, 2006 one fo my website is marked as Affiliate / Fraternal mirror please check the editor log, i was editor before, so i know who did that. my website is absolutely not an Affiliate / Fraternal mirror website.
ukstudy Posted September 16, 2006 Author Posted September 16, 2006 i know i cannot put my website link here, so if any one would like to help me out, please PM for my website address, please.
Meta hutcheson Posted September 16, 2006 Meta Posted September 16, 2006 If you feel that a particular editor has made a mistake of THIS nature, then an abuse report is really the only way of proceeding. But ... what a webmaster calls "all of my sites" on the same general subject, we nearly always consider to be "related" sites -- and if they don't have exactly the same content, we'd consider them "fraternal mirrors on vanity domains." (I haven't attempted to verify any of your allegations, so this is all based on the assumption that what you say is accurate.) If you think the "relationship" (which you've confirmed) has already been spotted, thus by both propositions you (and not the other editor) show up as the abuser. Therefore, accusations of the other editor would be easily seen to be invalid at best, and most likely as additional abuse (slander) on your part. As I said, this analysis is based strictly on what you say: and I have made no attempt to refute or confirm the allegations you make. You are free to use any of the "report abuse" mechanisms that have been set up. But I suspect that for your own purposes, your most productive procedure is to give up trying to force the ODP to provide a link to that one of your sites, and instead provide links from the others of your sites.
Meta pvgool Posted September 16, 2006 Meta Posted September 16, 2006 Wouldn't it be helpfull to keep all your questions in 1 thread see also http://resource-zone.com/forum/showthread.php?p=222768 I will not answer PM or emails send to me. If you have anything to ask please use the forum.
Meta hutcheson Posted September 16, 2006 Meta Posted September 16, 2006 I've deleted the other thread.
motsa Posted September 16, 2006 Posted September 16, 2006 Actually, you were deleting it as I was merging them so I moved it back into the regular forum.

ukstudy Posted September 17, 2006 Author Posted September 17, 2006 http://www.resource-zone.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=44551 please read this thread. after a month, my website was listed in the Open Directory Project on 13-08-2006. After one day, I found that it was no longer listed in that category. I went to the ODP forums to try to obtain information as to why this had happened. The editors and moderators of the forum didn't tell my why they removed my website from the category, my website contents mostly are unique, we have a big forum and a CMS system. all the contents are update daily. and my website is one of the biggest Chinese website in Australia. I konw the guidelines of submitting a website. as i mentioned before, i was an editor. I think my webstie meet all of the requirements of ODP guidelines, if our products are for sale, we will have pictures and descriptions of all the products we sell.
jimnoble Posted September 17, 2006 Posted September 17, 2006 If you have evidence of abuse, by all means visit http://report-abuse.dmoz.org/ and report it. We will not discuss individual websites here and your repeated posting here will not initiate any action. i did report this through the abuse system, but i send it in Chinese last time, and no one reply me back. There will be a response but, since we are all volunteers, the timescale can't be predicted. Closing the thread. Please do not open a similar one.
