TP207 Posted September 26, 2006 Posted September 26, 2006 Good day, I submitted my site <URL Removed> a few months ago. I understand it takes a while to become listed and resubmitting would cause a problem. I have since lost the printout I made of my submission. As my site falls within many categories (antiques, gifts, collectibles, hobbies etc), how can I get a copy of my submission information. or at the very least, how do I find out which category I submitted to. I believe I submitted to the Varied merchandise subcategory within Collectibles, not sure. Would anyone be able to confirm this? Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated. Thank you Anthony
Meta Eric-the-Bun Posted September 26, 2006 Meta Posted September 26, 2006 Do not worry about which category you suggested it to, since, as long as it is close enough, an editor will either agree or forward it to a more appropriate category - though a single re-suggestion to an appropriate category will not be seen as spamming. If you have a bricks and mortar address (e.g. you have a physical shop that people can visit), you can also submit the site under the locality in regional. It can take a while (years) before a site is reviewed, so we usually advise suggesting and forgetting about it. You will not be able to get any feedback as to the state of play ( as otherwise we would spend all our time saying 'awaiting review'). The forum FAQ has more information. regards Though I am a volunteer editor, my opinions do not constitute an official Curlie statement. :o I reserve the right to be human and make mistakes. :o Private messages asking for submission status or preferential treatment will be ignored.
TP207 Posted September 26, 2006 Author Posted September 26, 2006 Years???? I was unprepared for this answer. I figured at the most, a few months. I guess Jim Carey said it best in the movie Liar Liar when he went to p/u his car from the pound and found it damaged but had no recourse. "I guess I'll just take it up the tailpipe and move along" Anyway, thank you for the prompt response to my question. It is much apreciated. Anthony
giz Posted September 26, 2006 Posted September 26, 2006 They can take years, and they can take minutes. Problem is, that I have no idea which editor will look at your suggestion, or when, or why, and having looked no idea what they will do next... And, all other editors have the same information that I have about that too...
