OK, this option seems to be dead for now, so what else can I do to submit my little site dedicated to insurance in texas? I am also looking for individuals who would constructively criticize the site so I can improve it. Please do not just email or post to dump negativity, constructive is the key word here.

I've already done the sitemap and robots.txt thing at google. Where else can I go? Suggestions would be greatly appreciated as my small business is competing against a well known lizard (we are talking insurance industry, not derogatorily) and others. I was depending on dmoz. Our products are very competitive, but getting the word out any way we can would help. Thanks to all in advance for supporting the small business community, by the way.

Finally, we do have a two resources areas devoted to describing business and personal resources.Examples includde other professionals such as real estate agents, computer professionals, and other business service providers. Any recommendations for links are welcome. Contact and website information is in my profile.

Sorry but this forum is only for questions related to DMOZ.

And as you already have noticed the possibility to suggest sites is not available at this moment.

I will not answer PM or emails send to me. If you have anything to ask please use the forum.

Thanks, safarihunter, this will give me reason to harrass some of our Texas editors, I didn't think anything was small in Texas, :D .

As a small business myself, I appreciate what you're trying to do, but as editor pvgool pointed out, that's not what this forum is for.

Maybe some of our non editor members can give you some private feedback about your site, I hope so, but if you have a question about the Directory, we'd be happy to help you. :)

There's nothing you or we can do, right now, till we get back online.

Safarihunter,

My suggestion would be to use your favorite search engine to find information on SEO, site reviews, etc.

This is not a service that is offered by the ODP or this forum.

We're limited by this forum's terms of service, which prohibit certain questions (and the answers to them). What you need is SEO advice, so ... I'd recommend checking out some SEO forums: and I'd recommend using how they treat the ODP as a benchmark for their overall honesty and helpfulness.
