Guest bink Posted May 22, 2003 Posted May 22, 2003 Hi can someone tell me the status of my site i submitted it to http://dmoz.org/Arts/Music/Bands_and_Artists/M/Monica/Fan_Pages/ My website Url is http://www.mo-lounge.com Thank you
Meta kokopeli Posted May 22, 2003 Meta Posted May 22, 2003 Your site was denied as not having enough content, the editor who reviewed it also found that much of the site was "coming soon".
Guest bink Posted May 22, 2003 Posted May 22, 2003 if i had more content and resubmit my site do you think i will be accepted?
Meta kokopeli Posted May 22, 2003 Meta Posted May 22, 2003 It would depend upon the amount of unique content your site is viewed to have, an editor would certainly look later on if you were to resubmit. <img src="/images/icons/wink.gif" alt="" />
Meta hutcheson Posted May 22, 2003 Meta Posted May 22, 2003 We have sites submitted with descriptions like "includes comprehensive diddliography" but when you review the site, the diddliography turns out to be "coming ... 'soon' ...". OK, that's the way to get a reputation as a liar. If it isn't on the site [yet], don't claim it is! But as to the question, add your content FIRST. Then resubmit ONCE. There are beings -- lowlife spammers, we call them -- who resubmit every month without turning a tentacle to actually add the claimed content. After several iterations, we may not bother to review anymore. And if the site was rejected last week for "insufficient content", we may simply reject another submission as a "duplicate submission" But one "insufficient content yet" review several months ago normally won't prevent or prejudice a future review.
