Just because a description contains an advertising or marketing phrase does not mean it's abuse, however, you are welcome to suggest updated descriptions for the sites in question.

 

You're also welcome to send me a pm with the category you are concerned with, if you wish - and I'll look at the descriptions.

im a little confused, cuase in the rules of how can i make my description link, it says: "Do not read like advertisements, sales pitches, opinions, or editorial reviews. The ODP does not advertise or review web sites. "

 

i think in that categorie there are several abuses, just an opinion, so this is the catewgorie:

Hi Alan, while we do appreciate your help in finding descriptions that are not up to standard, the rules for this forum ask that you make "no mention of specific URLs, editors, or categories." lmocr asked for a PM -- that is, a personal message. You send a PM by clicking lmocr's name in the post above yours and, in the menu that pops up, select "Send a personal message to lmocr". Thank you! :)
