I was an editor way back ('98?), and over the last 2 years have submitted 4? reinstatement requests. I have never received any emails back, and I have checked my spam filters.

At this point, I'm sketchy on the details I would have supplied back then, so would it better to start over from scratch? I am no longer involved in the aspects I edited back then, and have completely new interests & categories to support.

OTOH, I'd prefer to get back in the fold ASAP, so if delving into the archaic history is more expeditious, I'd prefer that.

Thanx,

Andrew.

If you've managed to submit 4 reinstatement requests then you obviously know your old editor name, password, and email address since you can't submit the reinstatement form without them. Since you haven't mentioned what your previous editor name was, I can't look to see what happened with those previous requests.

Your only way to edit again is to have that previous account reinstated -- only one account is permitted per person.

I can't remember now if the reinstatement reqs were filed correctly, and I no longer have access to the original email account. What other steps can I take?

I believe it was 'andrewm57', and I'm pretty sure the email address was <email removed> or possibly changed to <email removed>. The category was what is now 'Society: Religion and Spirituality: Taoism: Feng Shui'.

That you've forgotten some of your login details or you no longer have access to your original email account are merely stumbling blocks, not show stoppers.

Please contact me via http://dmoz.org/cgi-bin/send.cgi?toeditor=jimnoble with as much corroborative information as you can such as:-

Approximate date joined

Editor name (but not password)

Original email address

Joining category

Additional categories gained

Roughly how many edits done

Approximate date of leaving and the circumstances

Convince me that you are who you say you are and I can reset your email address of record to one that works today. This will make it possible for you to request a password reminder and complete a reinstatement request form.
