caminowebmaster Posted March 13, 2007 Posted March 13, 2007 Is this the data that other directories like Google use? One of my web sites was listed in DMOZ last year sep/oct but did not list any where else as a result. I know dmoz is not part of or affiliated with anyone else - but i just don't know how these things work and i am wondering if anyone can help. thanks
sfromis Posted March 13, 2007 Posted March 13, 2007 Yes, many other directories (including the Google Directory) download the RDF dump, whenever they feel like doing it. ODP merely makes the data available. Sometimes it may take a long time before a data user decides to download a fresh RDF dump, which (most of the time) is generated weekly.
