Guest osyntax Posted May 29, 2003 Posted May 29, 2003 Hello, I have submitted USA Immigration Services different times during the past year but the site was never posted (I'm afraid that I have tried so many times that it might have been considered spamming ). I have also submitted the site in different categories not knowing that this would cause delays. Can you please update me with the status or be so kind to give me some insight on what I should do to have the site reviewed by an editor? Thank you in advance for your time.
motsa Posted May 29, 2003 Posted May 29, 2003 You need to tell us where you submitted (in the form of a clickable link to the category).
Guest osyntax Posted May 29, 2003 Posted May 29, 2003 I have submitted to: Immigration Kits and Forms and Submission Services Thank you very much for your help.
motsa Posted May 29, 2003 Posted May 29, 2003 *sigh* That would be: http://dmoz.org/Society/Law/Products/Self-Help/Immigration/Kits/ http://dmoz.org/Society/Law/Products/Self-Help/Immigration/Forms/ http://dmoz.org/Regional/North_America/United_States/Business_and_Economy/Immigration/DV_Green_Card_Lottery/Submission_Services/ (we're Dmoz, not Google) Your site has previously been rejected as being a duplicate of usgreencardcenter.org which was already listed appropriately. However, it appears that usgreencardcenter.org is no longer part of your group of mirrors (it was removed recently) and that usais.org is the primary site for the mirrors that are left -- is that correct? Usais.org is currently awaiting review in Society/Law/Products/Self-Help/Immigration/Kits -- don't submit/resubmit it anywhere else.
Guest osyntax Posted May 29, 2003 Posted May 29, 2003 I was not aware that usgreencardcenter.org was at one point affiliated with usais.org. We have an affiliate program that may be one of our affiliates abused. Will the editor notice that usgreencardcenter.org is not affiliated with usais.org anymore? I'm afraid the editor will assume the same thing when they review our site. Thank you for your time.
Guest osyntax Posted June 3, 2003 Posted June 3, 2003 Do you know how much longer I should wait to know if the site has been accepted? I submitted the site over a month ago. Thank you for your time.
Alucard Posted June 3, 2003 Posted June 3, 2003 I'm afraid not - as the work of editors is on a purely volunteer basis, there is no way of knowing when an editor will review any particular site.
Meta kokopeli Posted June 3, 2003 Meta Posted June 3, 2003 A month isn't that long, unfortunately--many categories have sites waiting a substantially longer amount of time. As editors are volunteer, and in limited numbers (we are always looking for new ones, however) there are just too many variables to ever calculate a time frame.
