NCMan Posted June 10, 2007 Posted June 10, 2007 Hi! Depending on how your timestamping of editor applications works, I submitted an application for the following 2 entry category: http://www.dmoz.org/Business/Financial_Services/Mortgages/Regional/United_States/West_Virginia/ The submission was on April 25 or April 26. I say this because I submitted late in the evening and you may have received it on either side of midnight. My confirmation email was received early in the morning April 26 containing a registration key of: 3e2d45175f515d3c9c7edf76cb84775d I replied to that message and a few minutes later received a message with contents: Thanks for applying to become an editor! You will receive a reply as soon as your application has been reviewed. If you have questions, please visit the public forums at http://resource-zone.com/ to talk with one of our volunteers As for the proposed editor name, I saved a screen shot of the form I filled out but it didn't include that detail. I would have used either "editorfrank" or "editordmoz" as those are the only two I can recall proposing on prior applications. My question is, what is the status of my application? My prior applications have always been rejected quite swiftly so, I'm wondering if this one was lost somewhere in the ether? Regards, NCMan.

NCMan Posted June 10, 2007 Author Posted June 10, 2007 Awaiting evaluation. Applications with obvious problems don't usually survive triage and are declined rapidly. Understandable but this also suggests someone having a degree of priviledge necessary to reject applications saw it and chose not to reject it out of hand. At some point in time, I have to start wondering if some equipment glitch or, a spam filter blocked a subsequent communication from ODP to me. Regards, NCMan
