editor login problem

Hi,

 

I can't log in into editors interface. What's the problem? My editor name is still listed as "category editor".

Same problem here, can not login to dmoz.org.

MarcinL, are you an editor? Try to log in directly to editors.dmoz.org, it should work fine (http://www.dmoz.org seems a bit slow today). What error message do you get?

I believe someone's tried a password resync for jandmoz, marcinl, and jzuchi. Could you try logging in again, and if that doesn't work requesting a password reminder from http://www.dmoz.org/cgi-bin/forgot.cgi . If that still doesn't work, please come back here with the exact error message you get.

 

Added: Just done the same for kesada and polloy.

 

It would probably be useful if you could let us know if this does works too.

Your account timed out -- you've already submitted a reinstatement request so I presume you know that. Your request for reinstatement will be reviewed but we can't say how long that might take.

There did not used to be a "timed out" -at least not as short as it is now. I guessed that might be the problem but when did they shorten the time frame?

As far as I know, the time-out is (and always has been) 120 days (about four months). That length of time is certainly consistent with your account now being timed-out given the date of your last edit.

I'm not sure I'm allowed to be more precise -- but does it matter that much anyway? If you're request for reinstatement is successful, you'll be able to look at the logs yourself.
