darkolaus Posted April 30, 2008 Posted April 30, 2008 Hello, The background/foreground contrast difference on http://www.resource-zone.com doesn't conform with W3C standards, and it makes the page a bit hard to read... Just a friendly advice...

darkolaus Posted April 30, 2008 Author Posted April 30, 2008 Check http://snook.ca/technical/colour_contrast/colour.html with 000000 for foreground and 669933 for background. It only barely passes, aka color difference is not greater than 500.
jimnoble Posted April 30, 2008 Posted April 30, 2008 Comments noted. Some volunteer administrator here who has the technical skills to evaluate your comments and make any required changes will do so - just as soon as other priorities allow. Workaround1 - Amend your browser's local CSS to overrule ours. Workaround2 - Use the Firefox browser with the Web Developer toolbar. It has an option to disable page colours. (I find that useful with the magenta on black colour scheme that the young seem to favour). Workaround3 - Use the Opera browser in user mode.
darkolaus Posted April 30, 2008 Author Posted April 30, 2008 Ok thank you for the suggestions... When I was posting the topic it was early morning and the sun was shining very brightly into the screen so it was hard to read the text... It is ok now - I have no problems reading any of it... But again I guess there will be others with alot of sun behind their back... PS. Also some of your techical users might consider adding a DOCTYPE to the site...
motsa Posted April 30, 2008 Posted April 30, 2008 The index and guidelines pages are in the process of being revamped and none of that should be a problem once they're finished.
