UnderT Posted May 29, 2008 Posted May 29, 2008 I want people to explain their reason for being rejected as an editor, because some of them are just unjust. I was rejected a week or so ago, for "Only 1 non-associated URL suggested." Now, why would that matter? If i am bringing my own high quality links, it shouldn't matter to them if they are mine unless the person is a competitor. I want to hear what some other people have had.
livebait Posted May 29, 2008 Posted May 29, 2008 The point of the editor application is to prove that you can go out and find quality sites, be it through search engines, local advertising etc. Providing 2 link of your own doesn't give a true picture to the reviewer, you need to find sites that belong to your chosen category by searching. I personally think that any site you've designed/built shouldn't be put forward in an application as you didn't "find" it, but thats just my 2 cents worth. (apart from in the associated sites section) I don't think that a editor rejection is ever unjust, you might not agree with it, but they will always have a reason for the rejection.
motsa Posted May 29, 2008 Posted May 29, 2008 Perhaps more importantly, suggesting mostly or solely your own sites on your application shows a degree of self-interest that isn't ideal in a prospective editor. I want to hear what some other people have had.Let's not and say we did.
