zentrucker Posted July 29, 2008 Posted July 29, 2008 IHO, I believe this statement more clearly defines what is required of the application form. This is based on reading several moderator comments throughout this forum: "Please provide 3 URL's, preferably other than your own, that you, as an editor would consider valuable, informative, and an outstanding contribution to this directory, and are currently not included in the DMOZ directory at this time." Seems to be more to the point of what is required, Thanks for reading!
jimnoble Posted July 29, 2008 Posted July 29, 2008 I pretty well agree with that (and other similar suggestions from both internal and external sources). The only thing that's not quite right is the three URLs. We'll accept two but prefer three because that gives the candidate more scope to demonstrate his/her website selection and description skills. Also, we don't like more than one of them to be associated with the candidate. It's all a bit moot though because we editors can't amend the application form; only AOL's systems engineers can and they're busy people who have their own priorities .
zentrucker Posted July 29, 2008 Author Posted July 29, 2008 Thank you for the reply, I was unaware of the AOL connection since being very new here. A valuable insight.
