That error has been there for a couple of years now, so I think you can assume that AOL has no immediate plans to fix it. ;)

In any case, there are no circumstances where it is necessary for a non-editor to contact staff. You are welcome to ask questions here (within the forum rules of course), or if you have actual evidence of editorial abuse you should use the Abuse Reporting feature on the category in question.

FAQ about becoming a volunteer ODP editor.

I edit for the ODP and support those guidelines at all times, but my opinions are my own.

Unfortunately, a lot of people tend to send e-mail to that address who shouldn't so the inbox fills up regularly. There isn't much you can do except perhaps try later. I'll be honest, though. You're not likely to get a response, even if you do manage to successfully send an e-mail.

Let's see

you asked questions in this forum and they were answered

you send private message to editors here at the RZ with the same question

and now you are sending email to DMOZ staff

Don't tell me you were trying to ask them the same question. What kind of answer are you looking for.

I will not answer PM or emails send to me. If you have anything to ask please use the forum.

Hello Pvgool. Thanks for your concern. I must certainly say that everyone has been very responsive to my questions. I recently applied as editor to a particuliar section that I have an interest in, as well as an interest in the ODP itself. Then I had a question about my site, which was submitted to ODP. So anyhow, here's my question.

Over the past year I have hired a lot of different SEO help to work on my website. However, they all submitted my site to dmoz, so I have been recently made aware. emailed the staff at dmoz because it says to use this email for reporting spam, which is what the editors must think since my site was submitted at least 5 times this year. So, I sent them an email, just to give them a 'heads up.' What would you suggest?

Thanks,

AJ

Don't worry about it. Do nothing. We won't declare you to be a spammer for making five listing suggestions. That said, there's no need to make any more so please don't.
