Jaswinder Posted January 8, 2009 Posted January 8, 2009 I know hundreds of delhi based sites but it was disappointing to let you guys know that only 1 site is listed over here http://www.dmoz.org/Regional/Asia/India/Delhi/ Interestingly that listed website points to other websites sites. I essentially dont know whats the criteria of approval of websites. I applied in dmoz as editor 4 years ago but to avail none. Please be anwerable.
chaos127 Posted January 8, 2009 Posted January 8, 2009 I essentially dont know whats the criteria of approval of websites Our Editing Guidelines are public, and include the details of which sorts of sites should and shouldn't be listed in the directory. Of course, since the directory is dependent on volunteer editors, it may take a while for suggested sites to be listed, it may also take a while for us to notice that a previously listed site has changed since it was listed is no longer listable. So what you see in a category at any given time may not always be an accurate reflection of the editing guidelines. The only way you can help with the first point is by becoming an editor. For the second point, you can also help out by letting us know about such sites in this thread.
Meta hutcheson Posted January 8, 2009 Meta Posted January 8, 2009 The Delhi category (including its subcategories) shows: Top: Regional: Asia: India: Delhi (1,014) I don't know why you're only seeing one site: the other thousand and thirteen should be just as visible to you.
Meta nea Posted January 8, 2009 Meta Posted January 8, 2009 I know hundreds of delhi based sites but it was disappointing to let you guys know that only 1 site is listed over here http://www.dmoz.org/Regional/Asia/India/Delhi/ What do you mean? There are 1014 sites listed there. Because there are so many sites, they are all sorted into subcategories, for arts and entertainment, business and economy, education and so on, and each subcategory is subdivided into further subcategories. No site is listed directly under http://www.dmoz.org/Regional/Asia/India/Delhi/ . :moz: Curlie Meta and kMeta editor nea
