You can check if your website is listed here by using our search for domain.tld without any http or www prefixes (eg google.com).

Thank you R-Z Admininstrator.

I checked and is not listed. The site is talking about <url removed> As I indicated in the first message I want to know the status of this site in the registration directory DMOZ and Google default.

"Not listed" is the only status there is. Well, except for "listed". If you know which of them applies, you know all there is to know, and all you need to know for any honest purpose.

I'm afraid we do not provide status reports. Please see http://www.resource-zone.com/forum/announcement.php?f=9 for more information.

Also note that dmoz.org is not Google; google.com get the data for the Google directory from the public data dump that dmoz.org provides, but dmoz.org can't influence a site's listing in the Google search engine.

Hi nea,

I think that DMOZ is an open directory for all.

I have registered month ago..., but I have not got an answer yet.

<url removed>

Today I have suggested the above mentioned webpage again.

Why is there no feedback (email) that someone has received the registration?

The registration at DMOZ is important for me, because I'm a new small company which was founded in 2007!

Thanks and

Best Regards

Thomas

We don't send answers.

Why? You were asked to suggest a site only ONCE

> Why is there no feedback (email) that someone has received the registration?

You have received feedback. At the moment you suggest a site a screen is shown to you which tells you that the suggestions is received.

I am afraid you will be very disappointed to hear that DMOZ will not have any magical effect on your website. The succes of your website depends purely on you and your activities. Not on something a volunteer may do somewhere in the future.

I advise you to read our FAQ (link at the top of this page) for more information about DMOZ.

I will not answer PM or emails send to me. If you have anything to ask please use the forum.

The registration at DMOZ is important for me, because ...

In order to be listed, a site must show evidence that it's important for our customers (surfers or licensees). Focusing on why it's important for the webmaster is the best way of losing sight of all that matters to anyone else.

(And everybody here is an anyone else!)
