IRCCo Jeff Posted February 14, 2009 Posted February 14, 2009 Editors, My company's listing for <url removed> (in Computers: Internet: Domain Names: Registrars: B ) is seriously stale. I've submitted numerous requests to get it moved (or even deleted if necessary) but to no avail. Can someone PLEASE push this into the correct queue and get it out of Domain Names and into Computers: Internet: Abuse: Denial of Service ? This issue has been ongoing for years!
Meta pvgool Posted February 14, 2009 Meta Posted February 14, 2009 We only change listings when: 1) an editor notices that something must be changed or 2) an update request is made on DMOZ and at the website clearly shows why this change is needed If the website does not show why that change is needed no change will happen. If the update request is also requesting changes which violate our guidelines (many try to change the description to inlcude masses of keywords usefull for SEO) it will be rejected, and the real reason for change might be missed. I will not answer PM or emails send to me. If you have anything to ask please use the forum.
Editall/Catmv makrhod Posted February 14, 2009 Editall/Catmv Posted February 14, 2009 Hello IRCCo Jeff. In case you missed it, this subject is covered in the FAQ: "I found an error in a site listing. How can I report it?". FAQ about becoming a volunteer ODP editor. I edit for the ODP and support those guidelines at all times, but my opinions are my own.
