Guest mistydk Posted June 16, 2003 Posted June 16, 2003 I am curious if my site http://www.hornyladiesathome.com will be submitted or if it will be declined. It's been several months. The category was http://dmoz.org/Adult/Business/Services/Phone_Sex/United_States-Toll_Free/H/ i originally added to the wrong directory category but corrected myself. I hope this was not considered anything derogatory. yes or no would be fine and I will not inquire anymore I promise
Meta Jezebel Posted June 17, 2003 Meta Posted June 17, 2003 The site was rejected. One of the telephone numbers appears on another site listed in the directory.
Guest mistydk Posted June 17, 2003 Posted June 17, 2003 Really? which site? just curious, that puzzles me. I have one other site with that phone number, but honestly did not know that one was listed in dmoz? I honestly had no clue. If my other site is not the one listed in dmoz, then the person using that number is not supposed to be using it(it is my personal phone #). If it is my other site, I want to apologize for submitting hornyladiesathome.com. IF I had known my other site has been submitted, I would NOT have done that.
Guest mistydk Posted June 17, 2003 Posted June 17, 2003 ohhhh wait a second. are you referring to a site in the "mature content" category that happens to be ranked like #1 on the search engines for "phone sex"? if that's so, i had NO idea that submitting my site to a directory would disqualify my site individually
dfy Posted June 17, 2003 Posted June 17, 2003 >> I have one other site with that phone number, but honestly did not know that one was listed in dmoz? << You'll have to give us the URL of your other site before we can tell you if it's already listed or not. >> are you referring to a site in the "mature content" category that happens to be ranked like #1 on the search engines for "phone sex"? << It took me a while to work out what you meant here. I assume you're talking about Google results. We wouldn't penalise you for being listed in another directory, so if that's what you meant, you don't need to worry.
Meta Jezebel Posted June 17, 2003 Meta Posted June 17, 2003 Humble apologies. It seems that your site was rejected in error. I've re-added the site to the unreviewed queue. Hopefully it will not be too long before an editor reviews it.
Guest mistydk Posted June 17, 2003 Posted June 17, 2003 Ok, I figured out where my phone number appears in DMOZ.I ran a search on dmoz for my phone #'sand they are listed on phonesexseeker.com and therealphonesexdirectory.com which are both phone sex directories that have lots of sites. So, in order for my site to qualify for possible inclusion in dmoz, would I have to delete my site listings on both of those sites in order to qualify individually? And I want to say THANK YOU for your quick and in depth responses!
