And how long (approximately) does it take to review the existing line? Thanks a lot for your time and answers!
lachenm Posted June 19, 2003 Posted June 19, 2003 We don't give exact numbers. A mid-sized pool means that it's larger than a small one, but smaller than a lot of others... [Added] I'm pretty sure that windharp would have called 5 sites a small pool, and 505 a very large one. [/Added] And we don't give estimates about how long it will take to review a site, simply because we don't know. Editors are volunteers, and they are not required to review sites in any particular order. Your site could be reviewed today, or it could take months. In general, larger pools often indicate a longer time until review, but this isn't always the case -- a motivated editor could come along and edit all the listings in a category at any time.

However, I have noticed that after my first message has been posted the DMOZ editor has visited my site, and the category has been refreshed. But.... Please could you tell me, does it mean that my submission is dropped... or I have to be patient and ask again in a month or later, as it is usually answered in this Forum <img src="/images/icons/cool.gif" alt="" /> ? Thanks for your answers and hard work!
lachenm Posted June 20, 2003 Posted June 20, 2003 All that means is that the category was changed in some way. It could have been someone removing a site that no longer worked. It could have been someone changing a category description. It could even have been an editor reviewing a site or two. It does not, however, necessarily mean that your site was reviewed. As the guidelines request, please wait at least a month before you request another status update. Thanks.
