Guest romant Posted June 19, 2003 Posted June 19, 2003 Dear Sir/Madam, 3-4 months ago, I submitted web site: http://www.romantictravelidea.com/ On category: http://www.dmoz.org/Recreation/Travel/Preparation/Tips/ Could you give advise the status of the site. Thank you very much.
Alucard Posted June 19, 2003 Posted June 19, 2003 I see no submission for this URL in this category, nor do I see any record of it being reviewed by an editor. You may have submitted it to a different category? The best advice I can give you is to resubmit to the most appropriate category. Sorry about that.
Guest romant Posted June 19, 2003 Posted June 19, 2003 Alucard, Thank you very much for very fast reply No, I never resubmit the site at all !!! Could you advise me whether the site is more appropriate to http://www.dmoz.org/Recreation/Travel/Guides_and_Directories/ Or, if possible, please advise the most appropriate place. Thanks in advance.
Alucard Posted June 19, 2003 Posted June 19, 2003 I'm not an expert in the Recreation tree, but until another one comes along, I have taken a quick look at your site, and I think the Tips category would be most appropriate. While you have links to other sites in there, your primary purpose seems to be to provide tips to potential travellers. One other thing which I need to point out to you - a typo. On your link bar under your main page banner you have the text "Submit your Massage" - is this REALLY what you want your web visitors to do?
lachenm Posted June 19, 2003 Posted June 19, 2003 My opinion is that the best category for this site is: none. The ODP lists sites with unique content. As far as I can see, this site takes its content from another site, and as a result is not eligible for listing. The only thing that might possibly be unique is the discussion forum, and that has no posts at the moment. No posts means no unique content, which means no listing. Sorry. If more information is required, please see http://dmoz.org/guidelines/include.html#notinclude
