thisislife Posted August 29, 2009 Posted August 29, 2009 I've tried to submit a URL several times and I'm not receiving the confirmation email. I've checked spam too. Any ideas as to what I can do to get my URL submitted to dmoz.org? Steve
jimnoble Posted August 29, 2009 Posted August 29, 2009 We don't send confirmation emails: We say thank you on the final screen of the suggestion transaction. Some volunteer will process your listing suggestion in time but we can't predict who or when that might be. Elapsed times can range from a few days to a few years. There is no need to re-suggest your website and doing so could be counter-productive because a later suggestion overwrites any earlier one.

I thought I read somewhere that unless you receive a confirmation email, the submission didn't go through. I submitted the URL quite a few times trying to figure out why I wasn't getting the confirmation. Now I know why. My apology to whomever has to sort out all my submissions.
Meta hutcheson Posted August 31, 2009 Meta Posted August 31, 2009 Something like what you remember is said about editor applications. But it doesn't apply to site suggestions.
