solidradicle Posted December 17, 2009 Posted December 17, 2009 Isn't that true. There may be 100s of webmaster who want to be an editor who are genuine and want to make sure they contribute to the WEB and not just be an editor. I will be a liar if I don't say I have not submitted for an editor and I had targeted three Online Marketing Sites. All the three sites where approved and are listed on DMOZ.org but I didn't become an editor. There are always policies for not becoming an editor but is there a "Wild Card" / Individual Reputation over the years that is maintained to allow "Category Editorship". The important factor that I feel to become an editor is to understand the policy of DMOZ "become and editor" and One's Online Reputation that is maintained for years. If these factors are consider then I am sure there will more serious volunteers to devote time and provide accountability on DMOZ.org I love DMOZ for its existence on the WEB for so many years but I am disappointed the way it is managed for years.
Editall/Catmv makrhod Posted December 17, 2009 Editall/Catmv Posted December 17, 2009 I'm glad to say that many new editors are welcomed into the community every single day, in categories all over the directory. I am disappointed the way it is managed for years.Well, I suggest you pass your thoughts onto AOL and its ODP staff. FAQ about becoming a volunteer ODP editor. I edit for the ODP and support those guidelines at all times, but my opinions are my own.
solidradicle Posted December 17, 2009 Author Posted December 17, 2009 I'm glad to say that many new editors are welcomed into the community every single day, in categories all over the directory. Well, I suggest you pass your thoughts onto AOL and its ODP staff. Do give me the contact to speak to the authority at AOL or ODP. That will be a really help. Thank you. RJ
Editall/Catmv makrhod Posted December 17, 2009 Editall/Catmv Posted December 17, 2009 The contact address is staff@dmoz.org, but even volunteer editors rarely get replies from AOL staff, so don't expect a quick response. FAQ about becoming a volunteer ODP editor. I edit for the ODP and support those guidelines at all times, but my opinions are my own.
