editpk Posted December 24, 2009 Posted December 24, 2009 Here I would like to start a poll in which any member can vote in favour or against the new layout of resource-zone. In my opinion, it has some difficult things to handle but cool..............
Meta pvgool Posted December 24, 2009 Meta Posted December 24, 2009 1) you can not run a poll on this forum 2) the new layout is a result of the needed upgrade to a new version of the forum software 3) who cares about layout, functionality is what counts I will not answer PM or emails send to me. If you have anything to ask please use the forum.
editpk Posted December 24, 2009 Author Posted December 24, 2009 You can not find your threads but only posts.
bjfs Posted December 24, 2009 Posted December 24, 2009 Now it's more Web2-ish in design One can get used to these changes as many forums these days are more or less like this one. I like the bar with useful links at the top, very helpful IMO. Too bad that one can't pick a skin he likes (for the retro look), but you can't always get what you want... ;-) Internet Society Poland
Meta pvgool Posted December 24, 2009 Meta Posted December 24, 2009 You can not find your threads but only posts. Yes, this option has been removed as link in the user name. But it is still available through advanced search. This is how to act: click "advanced search" click "search by type" fill "user name" + select "find threads started by user" + click "search now" and there are the threads a user started I will not answer PM or emails send to me. If you have anything to ask please use the forum.
everkraft Posted December 24, 2009 Posted December 24, 2009 No doubt, people who changed the options are very concious about the quality of this forum and it is not possible that you will get everything according to your demands always.
RZ Admin photofox Posted December 24, 2009 RZ Admin Posted December 24, 2009 As pvgool mentioned it's available through advanced search. I'm not sure why they removed that option from the dropdown menu when clicking on a member name. I've added it back. If you click on my member name you should see an option for "Find all started threads". Curlie Admin photofox
editpk Posted December 29, 2009 Author Posted December 29, 2009 But I must request to again add this option for all members. Thanks
jimnoble Posted December 29, 2009 Posted December 29, 2009 If you click on your name, not your Avatar, you'll see that the Find all started threads feature was added to the resulting dropdown just as photofox said on 2009-12-24.
editpk Posted December 29, 2009 Author Posted December 29, 2009 Great, I got it. Finally, you can see your started threads to click on your name. Great Jim:) But where are the smileys?
jimnoble Posted December 29, 2009 Posted December 29, 2009 But where are the smileys? When posting, click on the Go Advanced button just below the text box.
