Wampit Posted May 10, 2010 Posted May 10, 2010 Hi All I wondered whether someone could advise me on submitting a site to dmoz more than once as I am a little worried that doing this has had a detrimental effect on getting my site reviewed. I initially submitted our site http://URL Removed last summer (09) and waited a few months, then submitted it again as I wondered whether I had put too much information in the first submission. Since then I have seen on forums that you should never re-submit your site as this will just send you to the back of the queue again and could cause it to be rejected from the list of pending sites for review. So I have just left it now and not resubmitted again. If anyone has any advice for me on whether I have made a big mistake by submitting the site again and whether there is anything else I can do, I would be really, really grateful Kind Regards Paul
Meta pvgool Posted May 10, 2010 Meta Posted May 10, 2010 Don't worry about suggesting a website twice. It won't be hold against you and it certainly won't be a reason to reject the website. I will not answer PM or emails send to me. If you have anything to ask please use the forum.
jimnoble Posted May 10, 2010 Posted May 10, 2010 Some volunteer will process your listing suggestion in time but we can't predict who or when that might be. Elapsed times can range from a few days to a few years. There is no need to re-suggest your website and doing so could be counter-productive because a later suggestion overwrites any earlier one.
Wampit Posted May 10, 2010 Author Posted May 10, 2010 Thank you both very much for responding so quickly and putting my mind at rest. I really appreciate it. I will do as you suggest and just sit tight with everything crossed :-)
