greenoro0 Posted June 22, 2010 Posted June 22, 2010 What is the future of Dmoz? Will it change the submission way of Website?
Meta pvgool Posted June 22, 2010 Meta Posted June 22, 2010 This posting on the official DMOZ blog might be of interest http://blog.dmoz.org/2010/01/29/dmoz-a-decade-in-review/ Our Editor in Chief looks back at the last 10 years and makes some predictions for the next 10. I don't expect big changes in the way websites will be suggested, reviewed by editors and listed. The current way works fine from a DMOZ perspective. I will not answer PM or emails send to me. If you have anything to ask please use the forum.
bsdman Posted July 27, 2010 Posted July 27, 2010 I'm interested - how many links are submitted daily, pvgool?
chaos127 Posted July 27, 2010 Posted July 27, 2010 Numbers like that aren't generally made public, but you'll find some rough figures in the blog post at http://blog.dmoz.org/2008/10/10/what-happens-after-i-submit-my-site-to-dmoz/
Meta pvgool Posted July 28, 2010 Meta Posted July 28, 2010 Number of suggested websites is not relevant as this in only one of many sources we use to find new sites to list. Also it is not a task of an editor to review those websites. The task of an editor is to build the category. If he uses the pool of suggested websites to do that task it is OK, if he does not use the pool it is also OK. I will not answer PM or emails send to me. If you have anything to ask please use the forum.
