Why my link is not showing in DMOZ

Dear Editors

 

I have tried many tiime to submit my site to Dmoz . But my site My Site <url removed> is not displaying in Dmoz directory. I have selected the right category to Insert the Link as available. But No Chance. Please let me advise to Add the site To Dmoz.

I think there's some confusion here.

 

You don't "submit" a site to the directory. And a "submittal" doesn't go into the directory.

 

You "suggest" a site to the volunteers. And then, some volunteer will look at your suggestion, and consider (based on that suggestion) how the directory could be made better.

 

But what will they do?

 

For some suggestions, the volunteers will think, "this suggestion is useless"--and clear them out.

 

For some suggestions, the volunteers will think, "this is a useful site, but it belongs in some other category" -- and move the suggestion for other volunteers to consider.

 

Or the volunteers may think, "this is a useless site, but surely there are better sites on this subject" -- and go look for those better sites.

 

Or the volunteers may (very occasionally) think "this is a useful site, there are several categories that it would add great value to" -- and list it in several categories.

 

It is even possible that the volunteers may think, "this is a good site for this category" -- and simply add it.

 

Or your suggestion may have some other result. Remember, you're not making a suggestion to promote your site. You're making a suggestion to help make the directory better.

 

But, whatever your suggestion is, remember the submittal policy: only make the suggestion once (twice at most). Anything more is just spamming.
