dvflagroup Posted July 28, 2010 Posted July 28, 2010 Hi, 2 Things: 1. I assume you know this already, but in case you don't the "update listing" link is broken - it kicks users to a 500 Internal Server Error page. I tested in 2 different categories. 2. I discovered this when trying to notify DMOZ that our site was hacked and we were moving it to fix the problem. The site was subsequently removed (yesterday). What is the process for getting a site re-listed? <site details removed> Thanks! -David
Meta pvgool Posted July 28, 2010 Meta Posted July 28, 2010 1. Yes, we already noticed and AOL technicians are notified. 2. Most probably one of our Quality Control checks noticed the problem and moved to website out of public view for an editor to check I will not answer PM or emails send to me. If you have anything to ask please use the forum.

Unfortunately when I enter my site in the form it says that the site is not listed in the category. We were listed in Business: Real Estate: Agents and Agencies How can I get this listing reactivated? Thanks - David
motsa Posted July 28, 2010 Posted July 28, 2010 You already noted that the site was removed from the public pages yesterday. You can't submit an update request for a site that is no longer listed. If the listing was removed for technical issues, then an editor will eventually re-review it to determine if the previous problem still exists.

The site has been listed in the appropriate category for years, we were recently hacked and had some trouble getting our host to resolve the issue, leading us to change hosts. The biggest challenge is that we can't request a listing in the category because that category has had its new requests link turned off. So now we're kind of stuck not knowing if we should just wait to see if our site listing is re-activated or if we should apply for inclusion in a different category - thus assuming our original listing will never come back. Any advice you have as to the best course of action would be greatly appreciated. Thanks - David
