pwilliams Posted July 29, 2010 Posted July 29, 2010 Hi, Applied to become an editor over 22 days ago, but not heard anything apart from the initial email, which I replied to. http://www.dmoz.org/Sports/Soccer/Players/ 7th July 2010 Username was probably pwilliams but I've forgotten it was that long ago! Please help :/
jimnoble Posted July 30, 2010 Posted July 30, 2010 Not exactly that date and category but it's awaiting evaluation by a volunteer meta editor or catmod. [2010070920830]
pwilliams Posted August 4, 2010 Author Posted August 4, 2010 Not exactly that date and category but it's awaiting evaluation by a volunteer meta editor or catmod. [2010070920830] Hey, Just got an email saying "Open Directory application - pwilliams Request 20100709208300 It looks as though you already have an editor account here. Please visit http://www.dmoz.org/reinstate.html to request reinstatement." I have tried this form but can't remember my password or username (!) Do I need to do anything else? All I wanna do is start helping out!
jimnoble Posted August 4, 2010 Posted August 4, 2010 Whilst we usually welcome returning ex editors, we are insistent that they come back under their original identities. That you've forgotten some of your login details or you no longer have access to your original email account are merely stumbling blocks, not show stoppers. Please contact me via http://dmoz.org/cgi-bin/send.cgi?toeditor=jimnoble with as much corroborative information as you can such as:- Approximate date joined Editor name (but not password) Real Name Original email address Joining category Additional categories gained Roughly how many edits done Approximate date of leaving and the circumstances Convince me that you are who you say you are and I can reset your email address of record to one that works today. This will make it possible for you to request a password reminder and complete a reinstatement request form.
