Could someone explain to me why one of the web sites I had on dmoz directory for around 8- 9 years has suddenly disappeared from the directory…? it was a directory for electricians throughout the uk

I had checked the site up time and there has been no disruption there, it meet the guidelines has not been updated within the last 6mths and hosted on the same server, even with the same registar...? so a bit puzzled,

Just noticed the whole category seams to have disappeared it was http://www.dmoz.org/Regional/Europe/United_Kingdom/Business_and_Economy/Industries/Construction_and_Maintenance/Contractors/Electrical/ any idea as to if its going to reappear what happens when a category goes are they moved elsewhere or should I re suggest the site and if so which category should I look in? Would appriceate someone taking the time to give an answer?

The "Construction_and_Maintenance" category was moved outside of the "Industries" subcategory. I believe the category you are looking for is now http://www.dmoz.org/Regional/Europe/United_Kingdom/Business_and_Economy/Construction_and_Maintenance/Contractors/Electrical/

Sites are removed from sight when they a) no longer match our guidelines (or maybe never had, and were listed in error), B) are moved to a more suitable category upon a re-evaluation or c) are marked as erroneous by either an editor or one of our automated link checking processes.

Please remember hat we do not do any status requests for suggestions/listings (see announcement).

Thank you windharp for your reply... In answer

A)It did meet the guidelines when first included it still matches guidelines..? (Having read the guidelines I could not find anything in them that was breached),

B)I have not found it in any other categories,

C)Wouldn’t it been marked erroneous by either automated link checking process or an editor before 9 years?

I understand status request and suggestion listing are not answered, This was already listed and had not breached any guidelines yet has been removed and was looking for an explanation because if I had done something (which I cannnot find…) It was ok for many years and is not now I would like not to make the a mistake if there was one again …? But not knowing why makes that near impossible..?
