RIS Posted September 30, 2010 Posted September 30, 2010 My web is listed in DMOZ directory but unfortunately i recently noticed that part of the text i entered is wrong. Also, i forgot my user name and pass if i even need that? How can I edit my listing now?Is finding my user and pass the only way? Thx.
jimnoble Posted September 30, 2010 Posted September 30, 2010 Only editors can edit listings. You can request a change by visiting the category where your site is listed and clicking on the update listing link at the top of the page. Avoid the temptation to write promotional or KW stuffed titles and descriptions because they'll be declined.
widget Posted October 3, 2010 Posted October 3, 2010 I have been trying to get a listing changed for two months. Do some requests get ignored or can it really take so long for updates?
jimnoble Posted October 3, 2010 Posted October 3, 2010 Do some requests get ignored No, but it can be some time before an editor volunteers to evaluate an update request. Those that don't improve upon the current listing are declined.
RZ Admin Elper Posted October 3, 2010 RZ Admin Posted October 3, 2010 Just to add that the change requested has to be visible on the site (ie. if it is for a new name, and the site still has the old name, the request will be declined) elper {moz}:curlie: All opinions expressed are my own, and do not necessarily represent the official point of view of the administration of either this forum or the directory.
