Blackwood Posted October 13, 2010 Posted October 13, 2010 I have submitted two requests to DMOZ over the past month to have the URL of our website changed as it is out of date. Does anyone know how long it can take for a URL to be updated?
jimnoble Posted October 13, 2010 Posted October 13, 2010 Does anyone know how long it can take for a URL to be updated? Update requests are prominent on editors' dashboards and most give priority to processing them. However, only valid ones are actioned. When making a URL change request, it's a good idea to first ensure that the old URL redirects to the new. If the old one is still functioning, the change is unlikely to take place. Also, resist the temptation to simultaneously propose a KW stuffed title or description. These are shot on sight and the editor might not notice that the URL is also changing .

What is a KW stuffed title or description? Just wondering for future reference. Thanks!
motsa Posted October 15, 2010 Posted October 15, 2010 KW = keyword. A keyword-stuff title or description is one that is stuffed with keywords, rather than one that meets our guidelines.
