Hi Artisan!

Regarding your post: #3101

#3096 - Both sites are working for me

Actually, they're working for me too. I guess on these dead links, I probably need to wait 24 hours to see if they're still dead before reporting them.

#3097 - Done

I need a little help here. When I follow that link, it goes to some sort of parking page. Do you see something different?

- Australia's Premier Golf School offering short and long term courses for a career in the golf industry. Intensive programs for aspiring professional players, and high school/golf programs also offered

No. I see the same - it is currently parked and under construction. The site was removed from public view, so if you are still seeing it listed, most likely the public pages have not yet updated.

item 2915:

The texts doesn´t look the same to me. Seems listable.

May I suggest that you take into consideration the following?

http://www.fields-data-recovery.co.uk/case-studies.html

http://www.fields-data-recovery.co.uk/downloads/FieldsDataRecoveryTermsCond2004_client.pdf

http://www.fields-data-recovery.com/downloads/FieldsDataRecoveryTermsCond2004_client.pdf

The US site T's and C's even refer to Fields Data Recovery UK and or Field Associates Ltd?

http://www.fields-data-recovery.com/faqs-1.html

http://www.fields-data-recovery.co.uk/faqs-1.html

May I suggest that perhaps they are the same site with a bit of blurb posted on to hide the fact they are similar?

Ref your further comments on how quickly you should respond, I wholly understand that you are volunteers, and that there is no timescales. My comment was meant as a polite reminder, not to hurry you up or accuse your fellow volunteers of not doing an excellent job.

Kind regards,

Hi!

Working on #3095.

(later:) #3095 done, thanks.

Hmm. I'm still seeing the same dead links, hijacked links and redirected links I originally reported in #3095.

Give it time. The public pages haven't caught up with the internal editor pages but it has been taken care of.

Hi!

While searching:

http://www.dmoz.org/Arts/Animation/Stop-Motion/

I came across the following issues I thought I should bring to your attention:

6th Entry from top:

Dead Link

- Overview about stop motion animation and general how-to aspects. Covers films and television shows using stop motion. Also, behind the scene photos of professional animator's work.

27th From Top

I'm not sure if this is an issue as of yet but want to bring it to your attention anyway. When you click the link, the page states that the site is closed and content of the site is being changed from the original content it was submitted to ODP as:

- Stop motion animation personal website page that also includes informational tips for those who want to make their own stop motion movies.

31st Entry from top

When you click the link. The page text says the product is no longer being offered.

- A shareware program that helps in the analysis of a recorded voice for lip-sync. Applicable to a variety of animation methods including stop motion. It provides a set of tools for the precise timing of the character's mouth movements and suggests how it should look at each frame of the animation.

44th entry from top

Is deplinking a Wiki page about a commercial product a valuable contribution to ODP content?

- This is brand name of jointed model assembly figures/toys. One can pose them in a variety of positions. With minor modification, they are usable for stop motion animation methods.

Hi!

While searching:

http://www.dmoz.org/Games/Video_Games/Action/Browser_Based/

I discovered that this category has three entries from the same site:

1st Entry from Top:

- Kill a number of amoebas and advance to the next level.

16th Entry from Top

- Digging Java game. Dig your way underground to collect buried money bags. Use your bicycle pump to explode enemies

Last Entry from Top

- Fly and shoot past obstacles. [Requires Java.]

Why not just have a single ODP entry pointing to his games page? He does list and link to 40 games including the three above.

I came across the following issue I wanted to bring to your attention:

13th Entry From Bottom

At first I thought it was a hijacked link. I then noticed a games page on the site so, the link from the ODP entry is pointing to the wrong page. The title and description of the entry also need changing.

- Play Ritz Ball Toss and see how many dolls you can knock off their perch.

In searching:

I came across the following issue I wanted to bring to your attention:

Two entries in this category are from the same site

2nd Entry From Top

- A categorized list of adventure games produced over the years, broken down by company. Also lists game systems, Interpreters and emulators.

10th Entry from Bottom:

- Hosting service and search engine specialising in interactive fiction.

I came across the following issue I wanted to bring to your attention:

3rd Entry From Top

Message indicates a “revamped” site will be coming in early 2007. This suggests the message went up sometime in 2006. It’s now mid 2007. Why am I thinking the domain is for sale, or waiting to be hijacked?

Playstation Driving Games - Contains a forum, reviews, tips, and ability to submit best times.

Hi!

In searching:

http://www.dmoz.org/Games/Roleplaying/

I came across the following issue I wanted to bring to your attention:

20th Entry From Top

I'm not sure if category stuffing is the correct word but both sites, the 20th and 21st entry are owned and operated by the same entity.

- Large resource site, includes roleplaying archives, site and product reviews, newsletter, contests, forums, postcard and dice servers, extendable interactive stories, player listings, several online and PBeM games and worlds, Fellowship free site hosting.

If you "wwhois" the domain, you see:

Administrative Contact: JAMES MATHE (C6C9P) webmaster@rpghost.com

21st Entry From Top

- Roleplaying News. Also features Interviews, fan sites and company spotlights.

If you "whois" the rpgnews.com domain, it's the same person, company and hosting server as in the previous entry.

Administrative Contact, Technical Contact: MATHE, JAMES info@rpghost.com

If you go to rpgnews.com, in addition to the colors fonts and graphics being the same as in rpghost.com, clicking on any of the links across the top of the homepage will take you directly to rpghost.com, the site listed in the prior ODP entry.
