Hijacked Link. Appears to be hijacked to a Colorado event organizer

 

- Expertise in CADD along with extensive experience in acoustics, architecture, engineering, graphics, and water color rendering.

I encountered the following issues I wanted to bring to your attention

 

URL Changed, Possible Duplicate Entry. see next issue for possible duplicate.

 

- Population density for Washington counties in 2000.

 

 

URL Changed. New URL provided on landing page. This and the entry from the previous listed issue may be duplicates of each other as I see population densities by county as a link.

 

- Information covering county demographics and population changes, employment and wages, county revenues and expenditures, public assistance programs, and schools.

 

 

URL Changed. Link provided on landing page.

Inappropriate Content For Category. This Mambo, open source oriented site is inappropriate for the category and is owned by another company listed in same category (AshlandHome).

 

- Computer consultants specializing in repair & troubleshooting, virus/spyware removal, tutoring, & wireless networking.

 

The "Contact Us" page lists puregeek's address as:

Ashland

OR

USA

97520

 

A little farther down the same "Contact Us" page is the message:

 

PureGeek the company has joined forces with Ashland Home Net and we can be found at www(dot)ashlandhome(dot)net

 

AshlandHome's homepage lists their address as :

 

Office Hours and Location:

123 N. First, Suite 1

Ashland, Oregon 97520

Monday-Friday: 9am-5pm

 

So, puregeek, a site inappropriate for this category is also controlled by another company listed in this category AshlandHome.

Ethics of an Editor

 

I've recently discovered that an editor sells websites and optimization to business specific to my industry. I've been waiting to be listed for over a year and now he can sneak all his customers in.

 

Is this fair?

Report quality control issues, and generic abuse reports with no mention of specific URLs, editors, or categories. Please report specific abuse cases to the Open Directory Public Abuse Report System.

 

This is not the place to make accusations. If you have proof that an editor is indeed acting improperly, please use the abuse report link provided.

RE: 3294 -- you really need to give us specifics (i.e. what sites are not listable or have problems), not just the category path.

The website called sincityvip has only one parked page listed under

http://dmoz.org/Regional/North_America/United_States/Nevada/Localities/L/Las_Vegas/Business_and_Economy/Event_Planning/

 

2) Under the same category "El Caribe" listing and "mbassy Terrace" listing redirecting to avictorias.com which was already listed under

http://dmoz.org/Regional/North_America/United_States/Nevada/Localities/L/Las_Vegas/Business_and_Economy/Event_Planning/Weddings/Chapels/

 

3) You Name It Events listing gave me an error "The connection has timed out" , not sure on this one, the server may not be responding well.
