eg "google search on ""This magnificent 650 sqm renovated stone "mas" is surrounded by 9 hectars of land located " comes up with real real estate agent Mercier while site page is http://www.abodesabroad.net/main.php?modul=detail&agent=1075&refno=108&l_action=

picked at random from their "selection" surely it should be the Mercier agent who is listed and all the other little agents who make up their pages.

@sugieb: I would presume that at the time it was listed it had rather more content than it does at the moment. Looking at archive.org it was listed prior to October 2006, and had content as recently as July 2007.

You thought wrong, although it's a common misconception. With few exceptions we ask that sites not be suggested to more than 1 category. However editors are free to list a site as many times as appropriate (within the guidelines) determined by the site content.

Exceptions generally are Topical and Regional listings, as well as in each non-machine translated language equivalent category. This one seems to fit in the multiple language exception.

Yes.

Also any sites where the content is obviously machine translated - ie the content is done in such a poor manner as to make the site unreadable. If the reviewing editor can't even decipher what it is supposed to mean it has no chance.

 

This doesn't mean that sites that are poorly translated by humans will always be declined either, but the majority of the content should be in a comprehensible form in the language in which it is being reviewed.

 

Even native English speakers make idiomatic and grammatical mistakes which won't cause the site to be rejected out of hand. If it looks like it was translated from Spanish to English using a Spanish --> French and then a French --> English dictionary it is probably going to fail any review.
