Below is the hours of research I have dedicated to helping to clean up the directory I apologize in advance if some of the sites brought up are not 100% objectionable for deletion but I just wanted to be on the safe side to ensure only high quality sites that are updated are included in the directory:

http://btnsports.com/ - Site no longer updated

http://www.collegebasketballpicks.com - Improper coding look at bottom overlap and not updated since 2007

http://www.razbet.com/ - Last updated in 2006

 

http://www.dmoz.org/Games/Gambling/Sports/Tipping_and_Handicapping

 

http://www.bigtexsports.com/bigtexsports/stats.htm - Not 100% about this one but it was last updated in 2001 homepage last touched in 2003, something just seems fishy about this entry and it has sponsored spam links and asks the visitors to click on links to support them.

http://www.expertbettingadvice.co.uk/ - Should be in thoroughbred horse racing

http://www.gjupdate.com/ - Not one of the top bar links is working

http://www.kelsosturgeon.com/ - Is a redirect

http://lasvegasoddsandscores.com/ - links to dead links errors on pages and not updated in a long time at least december of 2006 = http://web.archive.org/web/20061220100547/http://www.lasvegasoddsandscores.com/

http://www.proinfosports.com/ - web 1.0 low quality site with their phone number listed on the site being incorrect (don't know if this is insignificant)

http://www.southgambler.com/ - No longer active site has been updated since at least February of 2001

http://www.sportslynx.com/ - not really active and moderated (look at spam forum posts)

http://www.tipshop.com/ - Undergoing maintenance (keep an eye on)

Phoenix sports listed here and in tipping category (duplicate listing)

 

(didnt finish this category yet but would be glad to if asked to do so)

 

Also I would love to have been an editor and hopefully have shown my dedication to cleaning up this category by all the work shown below but have been denied editor status is this perhaps because I help run a sports site: <url removed>? Also I know that the site has been applied for admission is there anything quality or content that it is lacking to make it into the directory?

Macau...

 

I see a few issues that may need to be addressed.

 

1. In http://www.dmoz.org/Regional/Asia/Macao/News_and_Media/ - Macau Blog and Business News redirects to http://a2zmacau.com/

 

2. http://www.dmoz.org/Regional/Asia/Macao/Arts_and_Entertainment/Photography/ - Ken Tam Photography - e STUDIO , this seems to be based in HK, wouldn;t it be better there? Plus all the CAPS.

 

3. http://www.dmoz.org/Regional/Asia/Macao/Business_and_Economy/ - Namkwong Group seems to have no English, I mean shoudnt' it be there?

 

4. http://www.dmoz.org/Regional/Asia/Macao/Business_and_Economy/ - World Bank Country Data: Macau - Goes to a general site.

 

There are undoubtedly others.

The Category http://www.dmoz.org/Business/Hospitality/Directories/Event_Planning/ has a few sites that should not be listed there..

 

1 - The Stagweekends Company Website - Organise stag nights and weekend packages throughout the UK. Arrange the hotels, pubs, clubs, strippers and motor sports events. - This is a company website not a directory and a UK regional site.

 

2 - Scottish Weddings - Information for planning a wedding, including Scottish wedding venues. - Should be listed in UK Weddings category.

 

3 - Gift Baskets - National listing of suppliers of gift baskets for corporations. - Lots of affiliate links and would be better listed under gift baskets.

2. David's Marketing Communications Ltd. has a hugely long and inappropriate description.

 

3. JCDecaux (Macau) H. Nolasco & Cia., Lda - The same url is also listed in Hong Kong but has a completely different title, ie JCDecaux Pearl & Dean Ltd. Shouldn't they both at least have the same title?

Please check this category and correct your terrible mistakes. Also the editor of this category work very bad.

Re. item #4743, I notice not a whole lot has been done here for the last few weeks. Does that mean it's not going to happen, or am I supposed to do something about it myself? I don't actually mind, it's just that I have to go thru some hoops to get there.
