Hello,

I did not realize I had been gone for four years until just receiving an "account deactivation" notice.

 

This is to report essentially a "dead" link.

 

Under your Games: Video Games: Shooter: R: Rune: Clans and Guilds, the http://www.dsr.nu/ link for the "Deadly Soul Riders [DSR] - News, member roster, and rules" is "dead".

 

The DSR Rune Clan's webmaster contacted me to say after their site had been hacked by scriptkiddies so many times, it was decided to fold it. All you will see now is a page explaining "why" it is gone.

 

In the proper forum, I will petition other links to replace it and/or to expand the "Rune: Clans and Guilds" offered there. The game is still very much alive.

Below is the hours of research I have dedicated to helping to clean up the directory I apologize in advance if some of the sites brought up are not 100% objectionable for deletion but I just wanted to be on the safe side to ensure only high quality sites that are updated are included in the directory:

Razbet.com is updated quite often last time in Jul 2010 .....

You are replying to quite an old post, which reported what the poster found in March. And in any case a site would not be unreviewed or moved just because a post in this forum says so; editors will check and review the sites again, and then delete or move or change the listings based on that review.

 

Besides, the site isn't even responding, so I'd say it looks like it was a good call :)

It's unlikely that if a blog is added to a base url another listing will be made, so imo it would be best to use an update request when the new content is actually online. :2cents:

Considering the category it's listed in, and that the people it describes are probably still wreaking havoc, I'd say still listable, but other editor's opinions may differ. :2cents:

Site: Riga - An Introduction - Directory includes vital statistics and some Latvian words. Features information about transportation, local radio stations, dining, lodging , cultural attractions, sports facilities, and nightclubs. Produced by the City Paper, a local tourist magazine.

 

Problem: If you follow link, you see that site isn't about Riga, not even about Latvia, but about Baltic States. On the front page there is only one article (from RSS feed) dated Oct 5th, 2009! But site's header claims that it is "NEWS about the Baltics".

In the header you see the address: 25 Krisjana Barona Street., Riga, Latvia

If you go to Contacts you see email funky@hostel.lv and phone number +371 2910 5939

 

2nd is http://www.argonaut.lv/

In the header you see same address: 25 Krisjana Barona Street., Riga, Latvia

If you go to Contact Us in the bottom you see same email funky@hostel.lv and same phone number +371 2910 5939

 

3rd is http://www.baronshostel.com

if you go to CONTACT BARON HOSTEL you can see same address: Kr Barona 25,

Riga

Latvia

LV-1011

and phone number: +371 2910 5939

 

Is it allowed to do so?

Site: Radio Free Europe/Radio Liberty : Latvian Service - Daily news, analysis and Real Audio broadcasts covering the developments in Latvia and Central and Eastern Europe, prepared by the staff of Radio Free Europe/Radio Liberty.

 

Problem: Site's URL is http://www.rferl.org/featuresarchive/country/latvia.html but when you follow link it is redirecting to http://www.rferl.org/archive/Features/latest/651/651.html.

If you look on Radio Map, you can see that this radio is not broadcasting for Latvia anymore, so it is not correct directory.

Site: International University Global Theatre Experience (IUGTE) - Offers international educational and creative programs in the field of professional performing arts. Page includes seminars, conferences, festivals, collaborative projects.

 

Problem: I quess site is in the wrong directory, this Univercity don't have any connection with Riga. Riga or Latvia is not mentioned on site, and only offered phone number had british code, not latvian.

Site: Mathias Münch-Dalstein - Includes information about general facts, current news, education, business, travel, government, culture, internet, and details about Latvia.

 

Problem: Link http://www.muench-dalstein.de/Latvia.html redirects to main page http://www.ramuench.de/, page is in German language and there is no connection to Latvia, all contacts are german.

Problem: Mirror sites.
