Also do you guys surf www.clickmojo.com? because people can buy dmoz listed sites and set up a site that is miscategorized just because it is listed in dmoz. We know the benefits of being in dmoz, and we also know sometimes how hard it is to get listed, so I can see why buying one could help you, but it is also a little devious.

Hello,

 

First of all, I apologize if this is the wrong forum to post these issues. Feel free to smack me upside the head (virtually speaking), if I am in error.

 

This post is regarding the following category:

I have been watching this category for a few years as I have a site which I feel would be a good fit. But this is not regarding my site - I have noticed a few things which I would like to see resolved to maintain the integrity of the category:

 

1. http://www.awaremag.com is displayed as "Aware Magagazine"

 

2. http://www.cdrwcentral.com no longer exists.

 

3. http://www.computingpros.com is locked

 

4. http://www.2fastcpu.com forwards to a commercial site with no technical evaluations

 

5. http://www.klhardware.com links to a commercial site with no technical evaluations

 

6. http://www.ocaddiction.com no longer exists. It was bought out by Developer Shed Network, absorbed into BigHardware.com, and then transitioned to DevHardware.com

 

 

This is by no means a comprehensive list, just a few that have stuck out to me. I attempted to apply as an editor, yet it appears applications are not being accepted for this category. This only concerns me because the category seems as though it is not being moderated. No offense meant by this, I swear! But, I value DMOZ as a resource with integrity, and it bothers me to see my favorite category "suffering".
