#2 – This listing seems fine as the description matches the listed URL.

without being too picky, the hompepage >index.html would cover the same description as well.

#3 – I found two listings not three. The Wine deeplink may not be appropriate as the main URL is in the same category, however I will leave it to an editor more familiar with Regional: Italy.

besides, that there are 3 listings, the fastest change as far as changing the description, a few minutes ago there were also 3 of them

I clicked on the root URL - it redirected to http://www.toremar.it/html/home/mainframeset.htm which is has the same root URL - therefore it is listed correctly according to the guidelines. Now if when I clicked on the root url and it redirected me to http://www.buysomething.com/html/home/mainframeset.htm. Then I would change the listing to reflect the shortest URL that would take me to the redirected URL.

 

Added - Might have helped if I'd actually reviewed what it went to - saw it was in Italian - but wasn't looking for an English link :o

For Toremar Ferries - are you saying that you get a blank page when clicking on http://www.toremar.it? It seems to be working fine for me. However, as the site does not now seem to provide an English link, it was removed from this category.

index.html would cover the same description as well
Just to clarify my response. It appears that the editor who listed the site chose to use and describe the deeplinked page, so I see no reason to change it.

checking twice, I am on an italian server, using firefox don`t get forwarded, works fine with IE6 and Opera8 :cool:

the official page title not the odp-listed one, is litterally spam and the keywords are the same, this goes for various regions and for various languages, just drop this spam :eek:

In #1710 you have once again pointed out a main listing with two deeplinks. As already explained, this is an acceptable practice at the discretion of the editor. On the other hand, if the problem you are pointing out is with the title, description, or site content, an Italian speaking editor will need to take a look.

You know I am living in italy, frankly I do not see an italian editor changing one of those listings. This specific page, has very little content, showing up in search results like a super spammy ebay shop. I doubt the qualification of the editor who listed it, even 3 times, that`s it. I am following the listings in the Italian section very closely, very funny to see these highly decorated editors, given the listings added during e.g. one month time, it makes one think and wonder... :D

don't think that my logic circuit is plugged in backwards, but I do think that this listing was added by an editor in his very own interest, editing his own listing, with no additional value to odp at all, period!!

This page has a bad title tag. IE is not displaying the text on the page' date=' which reads “DQNN has merged with [url']www.dragonquest.us”[/url"]. FireFox and Netscape browsers are ignoring the error. Opera is displaying the text along with the title tag.

 

There is a typo in the html; they forgot the opening < in the </title> tag.

 

The page referenced in http://dmoz.org/Games/Video_Games/R...Warrior_Series/

as Dragon Quest/Dragon Warrior News Network http://dqnn.alefgard.com/ is pointed to a new presence at http://www.draginquest.us but that page is just a registrar's default parked domain page with the usual collection of advertising links.

I did not bring it to that level, besides that conspiracy does exist in all parts of our society, if so, there might be some in odp too. Whatever, there are 2 main listings for that site, 1 english, 1 italian +2 deeplinks in italian. Personally, I doubt that this specific page justifies 5 listings in odp.

So yes have some editor review them.
